Post-Doc - Properties of polymer blends involving PVB

Description :
Location :
IMP laboratory, UMR CNRS 5223, Saint-Etienne, France

Details of Research project :
The project aims at understanding the mechanisms of adhesion in immiscible polymer blends involving PVB as the minor phase and developping new formulations with enhanced mechanical properties. Particular attention will be focused on a comprehensive study of the main bottlenecks and on the proposal of efficient solutions for improving adhesion with proof of their reliability. The study is in close cooperation with an industrial partner.

Candidate profile :
PhD in the field of polymer science, with a strong experimental background in
polymer physics, polymer characterization (SEM, DSC) and mechanical characterization (tensile tests). Knowledge in polymer blends and protocols for the analysis thereof. Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Application procedure :
Motivated candidates should send an application with curriculum vitae (with communication list), cover letter, and 3 reference contacts (name, mail and phone).
